An Experienced Counsellor in Central London

A good therapist is a well-trained therapist; but for security and peace of mind there’s no substitute for experience.

* I draw on 20 years of non-stop clinical practice

* Every week I worked with groups as well as individual clients

* Two years working with couples at St Luke’s Hospital for the Clergy

* 12 years training other therapists at WPF, one of the most respected training centres in the U.K

* I see private clients during the week at a consulting room conveniently located in Great Portland Street, Central London

Is it for you?

You might consider seeing a therapist if you have troubling thoughts and feelings that you would not share with family or friends. Or if you suffer from:

anxiety, low self-esteem, compulsive behaviour, sexual problems, eating disorders, relationship difficulties or problems at work.

Sometimes the problem is clear enough, but you don’t know how to deal with it on your own.

You do not need to see your doctor for a referral. You can refer yourself by simply emailing or phoning me in confidence and leaving a message on my answering machine. I will get back to you as soon as possible.

What to expect.

I practice psychodynamic psychotherapy, which is counselling at a deeper level. It addresses feelings that may be affecting your relationships, personal and social, which are preventing you from fulfilling your potential and leading a full life.

You can explore the origins of those feelings in your past. It’s a process of self-discovery in the company of a highly-trained and experienced therapist who does not, however, give advice. In a safe, confidential, non-judgemental environment you yourself may be able to discover unconscious connections you could never have guessed or known before. With these new insights you can begin to change and grow.

As your therapy develops, so can your relationship with others in your life. But the first change will necessarily be your relationship with yourself.
